What’s the cheapest links course in Scotland?
Colonsay Golf Course, at $20 (£15) in peak season. Troon Links (Golf South Ayrshire), Fullarton and Brighouse Bay Golf Course are next.
How much does the Old Course cost?
$500 (£380) in high season 2027 (19 April to 17 October), and $350 (£265) in the shoulder weeks either side. Most visitors get a time through the daily ballot.
When do off-peak rates apply?
Usually November to March, and at some clubs in April and October too. Each club sets its own dates; the off-peak column shows the lowest published winter or shoulder rate.
Are these prices per person?
Yes. Every fee is for one golfer and one round of 18 holes, without a caddie, buggy or club hire.
Are these 2027 prices?
Where the club has published its 2027 visitor rates, yes. Most clubs set next season’s rates over the winter, so for the rest the index shows the current published rate, and the download gives the rate year for every course.
How often is the index updated?
Once a year for the next season’s rates, with corrections as clubs change their prices. The date at the top shows the last update.
