The short answer

The 2027 Ryder Cup is at Adare Manor in Co. Limerick, Ireland, from 13 to 19 September, with the matches on Friday 17 to Sunday 19. General admission sold out on 31 July 2026. The official routes left are ticket-inclusive packages, Wednesday and Thursday hospitality, and Ryder Cup Europe's resale platform, due in early 2027.

Ryder Cup 2027 puts the matches 1 h 10 min by road from both Lahinch and Ballybunion, so most groups flying over will want links golf too. This guide is for the trip captain planning both. It covers the week day by day, tickets, match-day travel, where to base the group, and two links routes with drive times: one before the matches, one after.

Ryder Cup 2027 dates and the week's schedule

The week has four build-up days and three match days. It's the 46th Ryder Cup and the second in Ireland, after The K Club in 2006, and Ryder Cup Europe expects more than 250,000 people across the week.

Prices are Ryder Cup Europe's face value with local taxes included, converted at the ECB rate of 29 Oct 2026. A weekly ticket was €1,999 (about $2,225), and junior prices were for the practice days only. The Tuesday Community Day tickets are a SuperValu promotion for residents of the island of Ireland only, so a group flying from the US can't use them.

Ryder Cup 2027 tickets: what's left

General admission sold out at the end of the global ballot, which Ryder Cup Europe says was more than 12 times oversubscribed, and its FAQ says no tickets are likely to be on sale on the day. These official routes were still open on 30 Oct 2026:

  • Ticket-inclusive hotel packages. Ryder Cup Travel Services, the official travel provider, sells five nights from Wednesday 15 to Monday 20 September with a ticket for Thursday to Sunday. Other companies may sell them only if they're on Ryder Cup Europe's list of authorized ticket and package sellers ↗, and a ticket bundled into anyone else's package is invalid.
  • Premium Experiences. The Captains Club and the Samuel Ryder Club, for Wednesday and Thursday only, from €600 per person before VAT (about $668). Match-day hospitality and The Green have sold out.
  • The Official Resale Platform, due in early 2027, where people who bought from Ryder Cup Europe can resell at the price they paid. Tickets bought on any other resale site can be canceled.

Tickets are digital, every sale is final, and you transfer a ticket to each member of the group.

Neither golftripbuilder.com nor our travel partner is on Ryder Cup Europe's list, so we can't supply tickets, packages or hospitality. If your group already has tickets, we can plan the links days around them.

Getting to Adare Manor

Shannon is the airport for Adare, 35 min away by road without traffic (Adare Manor quotes 25 to 30 minutes). It has US Preclearance, so you clear US immigration and customs before the flight home and land as a domestic passenger. The airport says to allow at least 60 minutes for it.

As Shannon Airport listed them on 30 Oct 2026, Aer Lingus from New York JFK and United from Newark fly daily through Ryder Cup week. Some other seasonal routes are listed as ending in mid-September, so check that your airline's season covers your return date. Dublin Airport, 2 h 35 min from Adare, also has preclearance; Cork Airport is 1 h 30 min.

Match days: no parking at the course

Ryder Cup Europe says there's no parking on site, and it will send Park and Ride sites and charges to ticket holders.

Train & WalkShuttle train from Limerick Junction to a temporary Adare Manor station, then a short walk45 min
Train & RideShuttle bus from Limerick Colbert station35–45 min

Ryder Cup Europe calls the train generally the fastest route from the Dublin and Cork directions. Limerick Junction is 1 h 30 min by rail from Dublin Heuston or Killarney, and 55 min from Cork.

What you can bring

One bag no bigger than 40 × 30 × 30 cm (about 16 × 12 × 12 in), and a phone on silent. Food and drink, folding chairs, long-handled umbrellas and drones aren't allowed, and there's no re-entry: leave the venue and your ticket won't get you back in.

Where to stay for Ryder Cup week

Two of Adare's three hotels are taken that week. Adare Manor takes no bookings from 1 to 30 September 2027, and Fitzgeralds Woodlands House, just outside the village, says its rooms are "fully committed". Ryder Cup Europe's hotel packages, glamping and cruise-ship cabins at Foynes all include tickets, and its official home rentals run for eight nights as standard. Limerick City and County Council warns that a rental booked another way may not come with confirmed tickets.

If your tickets don't include a bed, pick the base by the golf you want around the matches. No hotel in the area publishes a Ryder Cup-week rate, and Irish newspapers have reported rooms filling across Limerick, Clare and Kerry since 2025.

Can you play Adare Manor in 2027?

Not in September: the resort's closure covers golf as well as rooms. Before then, the only 2027 golf it publishes is the Exclusive Golf Experience, one night in a Manor Lodge or Manor Cottage with a round each and caddies. On 30 Oct 2026 its booking engine showed "limited dates across 2027", priced per lodge: €7,500 to €15,000 for a sample night of 5–6 May 2027, for two to eight adults depending on the lodge.

Nothing is published for October 2027. The complete guide to Adare Manor golf covers the course and the holes to know. Adare Manor Golf Club, the village club beside the estate, is a different course, and it hasn't said whether visitors can play in Ryder Cup week.

No club near Adare has published anything about Ryder Cup week, so visitor days, handicap limits and seasons decide which day each course fits. Drive times are from Adare on empty roads.

September weather and daylight

Met Éireann's 1991–2020 averages for Shannon Airport, near Adare, give September highs of 63.5 °F (17.5 °C), lows of 51.3 °F (10.7 °C) and 12.9 days with at least 1 mm of rain. The Kerry coast is wetter: Valentia, near Waterville, averages 15 such days. Pack a rain suit and a warm layer for spectating as well as golf. The sun sets a little before 20:00 in Ryder Cup week, and the back roads are narrow, so I'd plan each day to finish driving before dark.

Before the matches, play Clare first, because Lahinch is reported booked from 10 September, then take the ferry into Kerry. After them, Lahinch is reported full to the 25th and Clare is out of the way, so head west into Kerry and finish at Old Head.

The Killimer–Tarbert ferry is a 20-minute crossing, with the last September sailing from Killimer at 20:00, so Doonbeg to Ballybunion takes about 1 h 10 min plus any wait, against 2 h 20 min by road. Official packages start on Wednesday 15, so a group on one needs beds for the Monday and Tuesday nights.

The after route starts the morning the official packages check out, Monday 20 September, and runs one way from north Kerry to Old Head. Every drive time in it comes from golftripbuilder.com's road-routing table and assumes empty roads.
